mdMD is a Markdown editor for macOS made by Nacho. The short version: the app collects no personal data, and your documents never leave your Mac.

The mdMD app

mdMD has no accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics or tracking of any kind.
Your documents are read and written only on your Mac. The app never transmits their contents — or any personal data — to us or to anyone else.
Documents you open and your app preferences are remembered locally on your Mac so the app can restore your session. That information stays on your device.
The Mac App Store version of mdMD runs in the macOS App Sandbox and receives updates through the App Store.
The version downloaded from mdmd.app checks mdmd.app periodically for updates. This request contains no personal information and no system profile — it is a standard web request, subject to ordinary, short-lived server logs.

This website uses cookieless, aggregate analytics (Vercel Analytics) to count page views. It does not use advertising trackers and does not identify individual visitors.
Downloading mdMD requires no account and no personal information.

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
